At least three doctors were killed by Rapid Support Forces after they took control of El Nahud, the largest city in West Kordofan, last week.

In a statement, the Preparatory Committee of the Sudanese Doctors Syndicate said that “the martyrdom of Mohammed Al-Amin, the medical director of El Nahud Hospital; Mohammed Al-Nayer, a doctor; and Ibrahim Babiker, the head nurse at El Nahud Hospital, has been confirmed, this in addition to the serious injury of another doctor.”

The statement noted that gross violations against civilians in El Nahud continued for the third consecutive day following the violent attack and subsequent withdrawal of armed forces from the city, leaving a catastrophic security vacuum for which civilians are paying the price.
