The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has expressed concern about the rising toll of hunger, disease, and displacement across Sudan.
In East Darfur, local sources reported that the Lagawa displacement camp, which hosts more than 7,000 people, is facing severe food shortages.
In the besieged city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, local sources reported that people are dying from hunger and malnutrition.
In Tawila, North Darfur, humanitarian partners have scaled up their cholera response and expanded the capacity of treatment centers, but needs remain urgent.
UN partners reported that heavy rains in North Kordofan State displaced approximately 550 people and damaged or destroyed more than 170 homes in the Rahad area on Monday.

Adam Rijal, spokesperson for the Darfur Displaced Persons and Refugees Coordination Committee, reported continued cholera cases in Tawila, North Darfur.
Tawila, which is under the control of the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdul Wahid Mohamed Nour, is home to hundreds of thousands of people who fled El Fasher and the Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps.
Rijal said in a press statement that the cumulative number of cholera cases in Tawila since the outbreak has risen to 2,796 and 52 associated deaths.
The spokesman complained about the poor response to cholera cases in the Atash, Dereig, and Al Salam camps.

Hundreds have left the city of Dilling in South Kordofan state in recent days, after humanitarian and living conditions reached unprecedented levels amid a lack of liquidity and the reluctance of merchants to sell through banking applications.
The humanitarian situation and food shortages have forced many families to resort to eating tree and plant leaves, which are toxic and potentially life-threatening.
The cash liquidity crisis has worsened in Dilling, with profit margins on money lending reaching more than 50% and cash being sold for half its value on banking applications, according to dealers.

The Sudan Doctors Network, reported "deteriorating humanitarian conditions" and widespread malnutrition led to the deaths of 13 children.
Famine was identified in the camp last year, which is located in the city of el-Daein.
The settlement is home to at least 7,000 people and has been subjected to repeated attacks by armed groups.
